Shoe Care:
All shoes will last longer with a bit of regular T.L.C.
• Cleaning: Brush surface dirt such as mud and grit, off with an old toothbrush or nail brush
• Washing: Remove the footbed or insole and wash it separately. Handwash your shoes using a little warm water and a gentle detergent. (if tempted to use washing-up liquid go easy or you’ll have foamy feet for a while!)
DO NOT machine wash
• Drying: Dry shoes out naturally and don’t be tempted to put them too close to direct heat – under the radiator is usually OK but in the AGA or microwave tends to have dramatic results! (Yes, we have had customers do both.) Stuffing with newspaper or kitchen paper will speed the process up as it absorbs the internal moisture. Laces can be washed or replaced.
A shoe takes about twelve hours to dry out.
